its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau

“Live life with no excuses, travel with no regret” –Oscar Wilde

Today we drove up the coast of Maine, through little towns we visited on our boat in 2013 and 2016. It was fun to see the towns in a different way and it brought back wonderful memories of the summers we've spent here. We also had a chance to visit a few towns we didn't make it to while cruising. Lots of interesting sights along the way.

We wandered through a few shops in Lincolnville, found a new lighthouse near Stockton Springs and had lunch overlooking the water in Bucksport. The weather today went from sunny to foggy to cloudy to sunny and finally a little rain by the time we went to bed. We enjoyed the drive through the back roads of Maine and New Brunswick. We kept our eyes open for a moose, but we haven't seen one yet.

This is Larry the Lobster his 70' long and 12' tall. He sets on top of the Taste of Maine restaurant in Wilmington, ME. He was quite a sight first thing this morning.
Another lobster shack we went by near Rockland, ME
Fort Point Lighthouse near the mouth of the Penobscot River.
The weather was cold and windy by the time we stopped in Bucksport for lunch. It's a cute little town that looks over the river to Ft. Knox State Park.
Our path took us inland once we left Bucksport and we were hoping to spot a moose...but not today.
The harbor at St. Martins at high tide. The tide changes about 30-40' in this area. Two hide tides a day and two low. We haven't experienced low tide yet.
This is the view from our B&B. These are the sea caves we can hike into at low tide. (more pictures hopefully tomorrow)
The Tide Watch Inn. We have a balcony room in the middle building.
