"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in
its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau

June 12-13 – Branford, CT

Branford Yacht Club

We’ve spent the last two days seeing a little bit of Branford, New Haven and Stony Creek with our friends Ted and Sally. They’ve been great hosts. Ted and Stan went to Defenders yesterday while Sally and I spent the day shopping. The weather has been cool and rainy, definitely not good days to be boating, so it’s been great having friends to spend time with.

We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening relaxing at Ted and Sally’s. They have a nice home surrounded by woods. It was a great place to spend a rainy night enjoying a roaring fire in the fireplace, good food and drink and the company of great friends.

Wednesday was sunny, but we knew the weather was going to be changing.
Wednesday we had happy hour at the Chowder Pot...calamari, onion rings, steamers and mussels
We even had a chance to sit on the back deck of Amici
We had to take a picture of the four of us to share with our friends that could be with us.
Wednesday night was very pretty
But we woke up to grey skies on Thursday...the weather went down hill all day.
A nice warm fire...in June! And believe me it felt wonderful.
