"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in
its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau

June 16 - Branford, CT

Branford Yacht Club

We had a nice quiet morning on the boat. We spent a little time making arrangements for our trip home in July. We will fly out of Providence, RI on July 1 so we can be home for our Granddaughter's first birthday party. That gives us two weeks to slowly explore the rest of the Connecticut coast and some of Rhode Island. We should be able to move leisurely up the coast if the weather cooperates. We had a late lunch at the Southport Brewery Company to celebrate Father's Day...wish my Dad could have been with us. As our regular blog readers know, Stan likes to check out local breweries. He sampled two of their beers before deciding on their red ale. Stan had the Irish Salmon and I had a brick oven pizza and salad combo...both our meals were very good. We spent the rest of the afternoon visiting with people on the dock. Our friends, Ted and Sally, have a great marina with a lot of wonderful boating neighbors. Another great place where our roots could begin to grow...we better get moving soon, or we might be here all summer.
