Miss Chris Marina
It felt wonderful to sleep in this morning...I didn't even hear Stan get up, make coffee or open the door to go to breakfast. I did finally smell the coffee! I sat on the deck enjoying the view and the lazy morning. Our dock is more of a fish camp than a real marina. People can rent small boats or kayaks, go on fishing and whale watching tours or buy fuel and fishing supplies here, there's always something going on. I thought since it was the middle of the week and after Labor Day, things might be slow, but there were still lots of people around.
After lunch I rode down to the Washington Street Mall, a three-block outdoor walking mall, filled with lots of wonderful little shops and restaurants. It was fun wandering through the cute shops and watching people. Again I was surprised at how many people were around...is everyone retired now?
Our friends on Gallivant arrived this evening and are docked next to us and more friends will arrive soon. We have reservations in Baltimore starting on September 10, so we aren't in a hurry to get back to the Chesapeake. We may just stay here a few more days and relax.
