"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in

June 8 – Atlantic Highlands, NJ

Long Day at Sea
Sandy Hook – Anchorage

We had almost 90 miles to go today to arrive at the inlet to New York. We were up early and away from the dock by 5:15. The water was beautiful today and we couldn’t have asked for smoother seas…our luck continues. It was a long day, but our autopilot did most of the work. Stan just has to keep an eye on everything…it really makes long days like today better when we can use it. We arrived at Sandy Hook around four and dropped our anchor close to our friends. We spent a little time visiting and then had dinner onboard. We will move to an anchorage near the Statue of Liberty tomorrow.
