Mar. 14 – Avery Island, LA

Day 8 - Play and Relaxation
Bayou Petite Anes

We spent the day on Avery Island. The weather report called for a 60% chance of rain, but so far the day has been wonderful. In fact it’s been a beautiful spring day and we enjoyed seeing the sites. We took a tour of the Tabasco plant and then rode our bikes through the lovely Jungle Gardens. I won’t bother posting all the details of what we saw…I will let you go to the links and check it out for yourself. (Text that is a different color will take you to another page.)

So far our evenings on board have been spent fixing dinner, planning our next day's journey, watching TV and surfing the web. We'll be in Morgan City tomorrow and hope to do a little shopping and go out to eat.
