"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in
its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau

June 5 - Delaware City, DE

Short Day
Delaware City Marina

The weather wasn't bad today, but still too windy to head down the Delaware River. We decided we'd move to Delaware City so we could be on the river early tomorrow morning to take advantage of the tide. We were the first ones to leave the crowded city dock in Chesapeake City. Pam and Donny had to wait until the sailboat in front of them moved before they could get out...we were all packed in there like sardines. We made it to Delaware City by 10:00, Stan rinsed the boat off and I did laundry. The marina staff is very friendly and helpful; we've enjoyed both our stays here. We went to Wiso's to pick up some crab cakes, had happy hour at Crappy Dicks and then dinner onboard. We will leave early (5:30) tomorrow morning for Cape May. It's all new cruising ground from here. We're getting excited about cruising into New York City.
