"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in
its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau

May 18 - Miami, FL

Day 73 - Goodbye Keys
Marina Stadium - Anchorage

We left the keys heading for Miami this morning...the water was beautiful all day. We could see the skyline of Miami almost immediately and watched as it got closer and closer. We anchored out across the ICW from Miami in Marina Stadium. This area used to be used for powerboat racing and has a grand stand on one side. Through the years it has fallen on hard times and is no longer used for racing. Now it is used by rowing clubs for practices and boaters as a safe anchorage. We enjoyed our view of the city and the sunset. Didn’t make it to South Beach or into Miami…maybe next time.

Coming across Biscayne Bay to Miami
Miami skyline...notice the plane? We must have seen hundreds during the day.
