Friends from Home...almost!
Henderson's Wharf Marina
Our plan today was to visit with Jim and Joan Auld, friends
of ours from home. They are traveling in their 17' Casita RV. Our paths have finally
crossed, so they found an RV park not far from here. They were on their way to
the boat when Jim started feeling bad...long story short, they ended up in the
ER instead of getting here. Luckily he is doing fine, but we missed our opportunity
to visit. Their RV Park is booked for the rest of the weekend so they have to move
on. Hopefully our paths will cross again soon
We found a little pizza place in Fell's Point. We’d planned
to take Jim and Joan for lunch, called Bop Brick Oven Pizza. It's another spot that has been
featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dive so we wanted to check it out. Jim you
missed a great pizza, but you were on our mind as we enjoyed our lunch.
Our radar hasn't worked this summer...not a problem for us
this year, since we never needed it. We're thinking about cruising in the New
England area next summer and will definitely need one. A man here in the marina
knew of a good used one, so Stan spent the afternoon checking it out. We may
have to take a short cruise soon to give it a sea trail. I spent the afternoon
doing a little shopping and exploring the area on my bike. This evening we
relaxed on the boat and enjoyed the wonderful weather and great views of the
water.

Jim and Joan's Turtle...as they call it and their girls! Very cute, you can check out their blog at Turtle Tales
Great to see that BOP is still going. I don't know if its changed locations but I went to BOP first in 1990. Great stuff, some of the best and most unique pizza I've ever had. On another note I've been looking at 80's era Monks for my family's first boat. I'd love to chat "offline" at gbtormey @ gmail dot com
