Why Make Plans?
Clayton Municipal Dock

Today we went down the St. Lawrence to Clayton, one of the towns we had visited when we rented the car last month. It's a quaint little town full of nice shops and restaurants. They have a great Antique Boat Museum Stan wanted to see. He spent the afternoon there while I shopped and relaxed on the boat. He said it was a great museum and took lots of pictures to share.

Boaters always joke that plans are made in sand and change as soon as the tide comes in...well ours have changed again. Our friends, Pam and Donny, who we were traveling with won't make it to Canada after all...too many issues with their boat. Looks like they'll be spending the next month replacing their generator. We will truly miss having them with us. When we first heard they wouldn't be joining us, we thought we might go down the St. Lawrence to Montreal and then work our way towards Lake Champlain, but after talking with so many people about the Rideau Canal today, we may stick to our original plans. Everyone told us it's very beautiful; with wonderful small towns and friendly people...a great experience.

I guess we will make our final decision tomorrow, either way the blog may not get posted every day on time. I will have to rely on free wifi...so I guess that will be my daily quest!
