A Way of Life
Atlantic Yacht Basin

Cruising is a way of life...a choice you make, but this way of life also comes with some sacrifices. We had to give up some of the comforts and luxuries of home to explore new places and spend time on the water. We've given up time with family and old friends, we've given up our pets and we no longer have the garden we enjoyed working in and the rewards it gave us. Many people do cruise with pets, but ours were too large and our boat too small to make that work. The size of our boat has also meant giving up other things like our washer and dryer, our dishwasher, our comfortable recliners and our large bathroom (I miss the bathtub the most). We've made adjustments and we've learned to adapt, so we can have this marvelous adventure.

We feel the benefits of this way of life outweigh the sacrifices we've made. We've been able to see wonderful places, experience new adventures and meet great new friends. We get to see the world from the water...its beautiful sunrises, sunsets and even a few storms. We explored little towns, great cities, neat harbors and seen some amazing things. We definitely wouldn't change a thing. We look forward to all the new destinations and experiences to come.
