Work, Boats and Play
Atlantic Yacht Basin

It was another beautiful, but cold day here in Virginia. The Yacht Basin is getting to be a very busy place. In fact we were awakened to a boat docking right in front of us at 6:00 this morning. Not the best way to wake up! The wall along the river is getting full. This boat yard/marina is used a lot for storage. We left our boat for the winter to return home and enjoy the warm winter in Texas. Others store the boat for the summer as they return to their homes in the north to enjoy the nice summer temperatures. This means there's a lot of work going on here. Stan put another coat of Cetal on the teak he was working on and reinstalled our windless.

It may sound like we are just working and not having any fun, but that isn't true. We make sure to relax and enjoy ourselves a little every day. We had Pam and Donny over for dinner last night and had a great time talking about boating plans. This evening we went to a local hang out called Bullies Grill to partake in their wing night, $1.00 beer and $.25 wings. The place was packed with people of all ages, definitely a local favorite and now one of ours.

Just a few of the boats at AYB
Having fun at Bullies
A look at AYB from the bridge...The Pearl is at the far end
