Sept. 14 - Cambridge, MD

Day 180 – Back to a Marina
Cambridge Municipal Yacht Basin

We left our wonderful anchorage in San Domingo Creek around 10:00 and headed to Cambridge. We decided to take advantage of the MTOA discount and pay for a month's stay, although we will only be here about two weeks. It's a great price. A front is coming in tomorrow, the winds will pick up and the temperature is going to drop, so it will be nice to be in a slip. There are a few things going on in town this weekend that look like fun and we will be able to celebrate Stan's birthday better. We've already met some other MTOA members who are here and more are due in the next few days.

Cambridge was settled by English colonists in 1684, and is one of the oldest colonial cities in Maryland. We rode around the downtown area a little this afternoon, but will do more exploring tomorrow. It was a pretty uneventful day...I didn't even take many pictures.
