Enjoying the Weather
Henderson's Wharf Marina

What a wonderful day...I know this amazing weather can't last forever, but we love it at the moment. Hopefully fall will be moving with us when we start our trip south. I really am getting spoiled to sleeping with the windows open, hearing the crickets, birds and the occasional train. Okay...maybe not the trains, but they don't seem to bother me anymore.

Stan spent time this morning washing salt off the boat. The first few hours up the Delaware River on Sunday deposited quite a bit of salt on our boat. There were advantages to being in fresh water this summer. While Stan cleaned the outside, I cleaned the inside...we're looking pretty good again. After lunch we rode to West Marine and Safeway. So today was just an ordinary day...much like it would be at home. Except when we sit on our porch (deck) here we can see the water and hundreds of boats. We love having waterfront property.

This evening we had dinner with our friends Ted and Sally from Amici. We met at Sip & Bite. A little dinner that has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dive. Their menu includes all the normal diner items plus wonderful Greek food and Maryland seafood. We had the Crab Cake Dinner and Spanakopita, which is fresh spinach and an assortment of cheeses baked in fluffy phyllo dough. Both were very good…the crab cakes were huge and delicious. I’m sure we'll be back to this little diner before we leave.

The Sip & Bite Diner - not fancy but great food at a great price
I always forget to take pictures at dinner so I found one on the Internet...this shows what the crab cake and Spanakopita looked like, both were wonderful.
