April 9 – Tarpon Springs, FL

Day 34 – Time to Play
The Landings at Tarpon Springs

We woke up to another beautiful day…we have been blessed with fabulous weather. Although it is getting a little hot, especially for this time of year.  We had a very short run this morning, we just moved up the Anclote River to Tarpon Springs.  It is a Greek community that still has boats that harvest sponges from the Gulf of Mexico. The sponge dock area is definitely a little touristy, but so cute and fun. We had lunch at a little Greek restaurant called Plaka…we both had a gyro which was very good.

We rented a car today went to Wal-Mart for supplies and then stopped at a produce market and found a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. Tomorrow we are driving to Crystal River to swim with the manatees.

We were at the International Boat Show today in Corpus Christi. I saw a boat that looked just like the Pearl, but I couldn't talk Frank into buying it!! I'll just have to keep living vicariously through your blog! Thanks for all the great photos and information.
