April 20 – Longboat Key, FL

Day 45 – Gorgeous Water
Moore’s Stone Crab Restaurant (free dock)

One of the necessities of cruising is having your holding tanks pumped out…I know, not very glamorous, but it has to be done. Today the pump out came to us…as I said before this is a very large marina. All you do is call them up and they come by in their boat named “Muddy Waters” and pump you right out. Pretty nice.

We traveled further south today and the water is getting prettier every day. We anchored out this afternoon in a little cove off of Longboat Key. We rode around in the dinghy and went swimming a little. The water is sooo pretty. I wish the pictures could really show all the colors we are seeing. We are staying at a free dock…free if you eat in their restaurant (Moore's Stone Crab Restaurant). Not a bad deal, the dinner was good and it was fun to watch the other boats come and go.

House near where we anchored this afternoon. It is on an island...the only way in is by boat.
