April 13 – Tarpon Springs, FL

Day 38- Exercise and Exploring
The Landing at Tarpon Springs

We decided today we would get a little exercise and visit a nearby town. We took the Pinellas Trail to Dunedin. The Pinellas Trail is a recreation trail that runs from Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg. The Trail was created along an abandoned railroad corridor and provides a unique, protected greenspace for walking, jogging, skating, and biking. The trail is a nice way to travel between the towns in this county and we saw a lot of people using it on our 23 mile round trip. I'd say we are doing pretty well with our new means of transportation.

Dunedin is described in brochures as "Delightful Dunedin" because of its perfect winter time temperature, beautiful parks and outdoor recreation, friendly people and quaint shops and restaurants in its downtown area. We enjoyed our ride and the town. We had lunch at Casa Tina and browsed the little shops. We rode along the waterfront as much as we could on our way back.

More visiting on the dock with other cruisers and dessert at Hellas again this evening. This could get to be a habit.

I thought this was a cute sign...Janice, I think you need to make one for each of us!
