New Year’s Day

Sombrero Resort & Marina

"Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile." - Mark Twain

We're back in Marathon...same marina, same slip, same neighbors. It almost feels like being home. Sally met us on the dock to help us tie up and we're getting settled in. There's still work to do, but we're on Island Time, so no hurry no worry. I even had a chance to spend some time at the pool and had time to talk to friends I met last year.

The highlight of our New Year's Day and arrival in Marathon was dinner aboard Exuberance…a time to celebrate good friends, good health and even a birthday. Prue prepared a traditional German New Year's meal of pork, sauerkraut, potatoes and applesauce. It was wonderful but the brownie and ice cream dessert was excellent. It was a great way to welcome in the New Year and to celebrate being together.

On our way to dinner...here in Boot Key Harbor the dinghy is most people's mode of transportation.
