"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in
its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau

May 11 - Charleston, SC

Ashley Marina

Mother's Day came early to The Pearl. The kids ordered flowers that were delivered to the boat this morning. They are beautiful and add so much color to the salon. We made reservations for lunch at Magnolias for today since we knew going anywhere tomorrow would be crazy. Magnolias is one of our favorite places to eat in Charleston and they didn't disappoint this time either. Besides flowers and lunch out, I had a video chat with Kyle and Bryt, talked to Eric on the phone and received videos of our granddaughter. All in all a pretty good day since I wasn't at home to spend time with them in person. We really do miss all of them.

We'll spend our last few days in Charleston enjoying the Greek Festival, riding our bikes through the historic section of town, running a few errands and getting last minute things done on the boat. We plan to leave this wonderful city on Tuesday and start our trek north. Soon…very soon this will be a cruising blog again.

My beautiful flowers from my wonderful kids.
