A Day to Relax
Chambly Lock 9 Wall

We woke up to hot air balloons over our boat this morning…what a pretty sight. The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is a week long event with 125 hot air balloons taking part. It's the second largest balloon gathering in the world. We only saw a fraction of the balloons that were here. You can check out the other balloons at this site.

The only thing on our agenda today was going to the grocery store. We spent the rest of the day relaxing on the boat, watching people and boats go by. Tonight was the fourth night in a row that we had rain…made cooking on the grill a little challenging for Stan. Tomorrow we'll be in Lake Champlain and back to the States.
