Day 152 – Another Beautiful Day
Fairlee Creek - Anchorage

We spent the morning in our quiet anchorage. Stan changed the oil and filters and I worked on the blog and did a little bookkeeping. We headed up the bay past the Shady Point Shoal Lighthouse. We pulled into the Magothy River to check out an anchorage. It was a beautiful spot, but we decided to move on today since the weather was nice and the bay was calm. We may use it another time. We are on our way to Philadelphia; we will stop in Baltimore on our way back next week.

We traveled across the Chesapeake and anchored in Fairlee Creek for the night. It's a protected little harbor with a large marina...the entry is very small, but there was plenty of water to get in. It has a cute Tiki Bar and beach at the entry...we've never driven this close to a beach. We could actually talk to people on the beach as we went past.

  1. Beautiful trawler! Just discovered your blog - very nice, and you keep up with it better than I keep up mine. My wife and I live in DC and keep our trawler in Herring Bay on the Chesapeake, so you've just passed through familiar waters. We'll be in Fairlee/Still Pond/Whorton area last week of August, and Baltimore 9/1-9/5. Maybe we'll cross paths.
