"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in
its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau

June 1 - Jacksonville, FL

Day 87 - June
Metropolitan Park Marina

It's hard to believe it’s June already...we've been gone almost three months. It doesn't feel like it's been that long; I guess we've adjusted pretty well to our small moving home.

There really isn't a lot to do close by in Jacksonville. The city has spent a lot of money fixing up the waterfront, but it looks like it is only used when there are big events. The park and sport complexes are very pretty and well maintained. We rode our bikes to The Landing (shopping/entertainment complex) around lunch. We walked through the shops, talked to a few people and had lunch at American Cafe. There was a baseball game at the stadium across the street from our boat...we stopped by, but decided not to go in when we found out most of the seats were in the sun. A little too warm at 2:00 to be sitting in the sun. Another boat pulled in this afternoon and we visited with them for awhile. They are moving south so we exchanged a few ideas on places to visit.
