"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in

July 8 - Charleston, SC

Day 112 - Another Travel Day
Charleston Maritime Center

We were going to do this leg of the trip in two days, but changed our plans when our inverter stopped working. We decided it would be easier for Stan to work on it at a marina and we would be closer to parts if we need them. It's an old inverter so it may need to be replaced. (I love my captain…he has already fixed the inverter)

Our day started out cloudy and we had a few light showers as we cruised...just enough to keep it a little cooler. By the time we got to Charleston it cleared up and was pretty warm. The ICW here winds along the rivers between little islands, very pretty but not very direct. Our home for the next four days is close to the historic part of Charleston…but there is quite a bit of boat traffic, so it will be a little rocky. After dinner on the boat we walked down East Bay Street to the Waterfront Park.

A cloudy morning...it looked worse than it was
