July 19 - Great Bridge, VA

Day 123 - Welcome to Virginia
Atlantic Yacht Basin
The big story today was bugs! Our boat was covered with hundreds of small flying bugs this morning and they stayed with us all the way to Great Bridge. They didn't bite...they were more like a love bug, just annoying and they made a mess on the deck.

The weather is warming up and should be miserable by the weekend. I think we might need to find a few inside activities later in the week. We are now in Virginia, with lots of options of things to do. We are docked in Great Bridge right before a bridge and lock we will go through in the morning and then a short trip up to Norfolk. We spent the afternoon going to the store, washing bugs off the boat and relaxing. We've traveled almost 475 mile this week so we are ready to slow down a bit.

Bugs everywhere
See all those little dots? Bug Poo! They really made a mess on our boat
Does anyone know what kind of bug this is?
We had several dragon flies around, but they couldn't eat enough to clear up our problem
Back in the woods
The bridge we will go through tomorrow, the lock is right after it
