Downtown Marina Mooring Ball
“Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be.” —Grandma Moses
We knew today's weather was going to be lousy...rain, wind and chilly. A good day to lie around, watch old movies and work on my pine needle baskets. It sounded like a good plan, until Stan realized the generator wasn't working properly. Up came the floor in the salon so he could diagnose the problem. Thirty minutes later he had replaced a few blown fuses and we were back in business.
While he was in the engine room he noticed the holding tank was VERY full, fuller than we ever let it get. It was probably a good thing the generator was having issues or we might have had a nasty problem! We are on a mooring, so we radioed the marina and they told us we could come over anytime for a pump out.
While we were at the dock, friends from Marathon docked for diesel. We didn't get to visit long but it was fun to see them. They are from Maine, so hopefully we'll see them later in the summer. While we were at the dock we also filled our water tanks...we're good for at least another week.
By the time we picked up our mooring ball again it was time for lunch and the rain had gone from a light drizzle to a full shower...now it was time to really relax. I started a pot of stew in our slow cooker and spent the remainder of the day watching old movies and working on a new basket. We're hoping for better weather tomorrow so we can go to the Soft Shell Crab Festival in Port Royal.
