Donny’s Boat Rental & Marina

We had rain during the night and we woke up to high winds. Making it hard to spend time exploring Manjack Cay, so we decided to move back to Green Turtle Cay. We took a mooring at Donny's Boat Rental and Marina. He was out in one of his boats and saw us coming into the harbor and recognized us. He gave us a wave and told us to pick up the same mooring we had last month. It felt a little like coming home. Black Sound is a nice protected harbor and it's a great place to wait for the weather to improve for our trip back to the States.
I walked into town for fresh bread and Stan spent time doing more research on where we'll leave the boat when we return to Florida. We've decided to store The Pearl on the hard (out of the water) in Indiantown. Indiantown is located on the Okeechobee Waterway and a popular spot for leaving boats for the summer.
We spent the evening visiting with friends and making a few new ones at Leeward Yacht Club's little restaurant. There were a few boats that had just arrived in the Bahamas, but the majority were people waiting for the weather to improve so they can get back to the States. Some will go north for the summer and some like us will store their boats and return to their land life. We've had a wonderful winter, but we're definitely ready to hug our little ones.
