Finger Lakes Wineries & Breweries (Part I)

“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”—Maya Angelou

We've been visiting a lot of cute brewery and wineries in the area...here are a few of our favorite, so far.

Aurora Ale & Lager Co.
Aurora Ale & Lager are a new NYS Farm Nanobrewery located on the east shore of Cayuga Lake with a wonderful hill top view of the lake. They’re just a few miles south of the quaint village of Aurora. They brew small batches of beers from smoked porters, aromatic IPAs, bourbon barrel-aged stouts, wheats, saisons to sours.

We had the "Don't You Know I'm Loco?" beer, it was very good and the view from their backyard was amazing. It's a place you could spend a whole Saturday afternoon, relaxing, playing corn hole and visiting with other patrons...sometimes the smallest places are the best.

Two Goat Brewery is located in a renovated 19th century barn with a sweeping view of Seneca Lake and powered by solar, Two Goats Brewing is an easy-going gathering place to drink stellar beer, listen to live original music and enjoy time with friends. Their beer is made in a 7 barrel brew system and is brewed in the basement of their pub.

Catharine Valley Winery is located on the southeastern shore of Seneca Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Region. The winery overlooks scenic vineyards that gently slope through the Seneca Lake mesoclimate. Their wines are produced and bottled on site and are their names pay tribute to the local history of the area.
