Sept. 16 - Baltimore, MD

Happy Birthday Captain
Henderson's Wharf Marina

Today was Stan's birthday and we started it off with pancakes, which is a Sunday morning tradition for our family. After breakfast we rode downtown to the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar. It’s held under the Jones Falls Expressway. This market is much larger than the one we were at yesterday and a lot more crowded. The selection of produce, meats, cheeses, breads and crafts were amazing. The smells were also amazing from the dozens of food vendors with multicultural cuisine such as pit beef sandwiches, omelets, breakfast burritos, crepes, wood fired pizzas, pies, quiches, soups, fried seafood and Asian specialties. It was definitely one of the best farmers markets we've seen this year.

After the market we decided to take a picnic lunch to the park in Canton and relax since it was another beautiful day. We visited the Korean War Memorial and then went to West Marine on our way back to the boat. We bought Stan a new seat for the boat. By the time we returned to the marina Pam and Donny on Gallivant had arrived. We're looking forward to spending a little time with them in the next few weeks.

Stan found an Irish Pub called Looney’s that shows all the football games that are televised, so he decided he wanted to spend the evening watching the Dallas Cowboy’s game. We arrived early and caught the end of the Baltimore/Philadelphia game. It ended up being a better game since Dallas lost 27-7. The game didn’t turn out the way we would have hoped, but we had a good time anyway.
