July 8 - Day Two: The Ship

“The sea fires our imagination and rekindles our spirit.” —Wyland
Today was our first full day on the ship. We enjoyed a nice breakfast sitting outside in the Sunset Lounge, which is located on the stern of the ship. We arrived before the crowd and it was very enjoyable. For lunch we decided to eat in the main dining room where it was quiet and relaxing. The food has been very good and we can order as many dishes as we want. Most servings are small, so it is easy to try many things.

The Oceanview Cafe - Every morning Donavon the sunshine man he delivers bake goods as fast as he can...singing to diners and offering wonderful treats. What a fun man.
Our lunch in the Cosmopolitan Dining Room: whole wheat orecchiette, sautéed turkey medallions, key lime pie and peach raspberry cobbler
Our second dinner: escargot, smoked seafood cake, shrimp scampi, apple crumble a la mode
Our cabin is very comfortable, nowhere near as small as our stateroom on The Pearl. We have plenty of closest space and drawers for the things we brought. We chose an inside cabin (no window or outside deck). We decided we didn't need that on this trip since we can sit on the deck of our boat most days of the year and enjoy the view of the water.

    1. Almost! We were wondering if they even have a wheel anymore on these huge ships. A tour of the bridge would have been fun.
