We spent a quiet day hanging around the marina, except for one short trip to Stingray Point to check out the lighthouse. It’s an exact full-scale replica of the original Stingray Point screwpile lighthouse built in 1853 that stood watch over the shoal at Stingray Point, which separates the Rappahannock and Piankatank Rivers. The light remained in service until 1965, when it was replaced with a skeleton tower erected on the old foundation.
This year’s trip seems to be more about the wonderful people we are meeting and the old friends we are reconnecting with than the destination…at least for the moment. We’ve met a lot of great people here at Dozier’s and spent the evening visiting with Jane and Bill from Cork. They keep their boat in Deltaville and know the area quite well. They took us to a little seafood place called Merroir for dinner. It's a quaint little oyster shack on the Rappahannock River offering seasonal seafood small plates, wine & craft beers, definitely not fancy but the food was delicious.

It's still breezy in Baltimore. Anchor Bay East is going to be a great place to leave the boat...thanks for the suggestion! Hope you guys continue enjoying Deltaville and the Rendezvous!

Glad to hear the marina is a good spot. We are having fun. Seven boats here today and about ten more coming tomorrow and 5-6 couples by car. It should be fun. It'll make a great picture to have so many Monks in one place. Have a great visit with your family.
