Hope Town Inn & Marina Mooring Field

It looked like we were cruising in an aquarium or a pool today on our way to Hope Town. The sea was calm and we could easily see the bottom even at the deepest depths. We saw lots of large starfish, sea urchins, fish, a stingray and two sharks. It's hard for me to find the words to describe how truly amazing this water is and although the pictures are beautiful they just can't show the range of colors we are seeing.
After breakfast this morning we took the dinghy and walked the beach along Baker's Bay. We didn't think we'd find anything since there are homes so close...but we were wrong. We found three starfish, lots of sea biscuits and quite a few pretty and unusual shells.
Just before lunch we headed to Hope Town on Elbow Cay to pick up a mooring. Our friends on Smiles put their reserved ball on one for us this morning when a mooring became available. So glad they did since the harbor is very full. We spent the afternoon visiting with Jim and Betsy and exploring the town a little. Then we spent the evening celebrating St. Patrick's Day at Cap’n Jack's, visiting with other boaters. We're going to spend the next week here...exploring, riding our bikes, snorkeling and relaxing.
