What better way could we celebrate Valentine's Day than getting back to the boat. It was a beautiful day, perfect for unloading the car and preparing the boat for the season...lots of sunshine, clear blue sky and temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. With all the work we had to do we didn't have to worry about breaking a sweat or wearing a jacket...truly wonderful. 

We had a nice morning visiting with Pam and Donny and enjoyed a fresh loaf of bread that Donny had baked with our coffee. Not a bad way to spend a morning. As nice as it was just hanging out, we had things we needed to get done, so off we went. Myrtle Beach is about two hours north of Charleston. We stopped for a quick lunch before getting back to the boat, since we are low on supplies and wanted to get busy as soon as we got back onboard. By 5:00 we had everything stowed, boxes hauled to the dumpster, the bimini up, sea cocks opened, new TV antenna installed, cabin semi cleaned, heater ready to run, duffle bags and power tools stored under the bed, lines and funders readjusted and the bed made. Tomorrow Stan will start the engine and the generator and make any adjustments that need to be done while I go to the grocery store and provision the boat. 

By the time we had gotten the boat back into shape, we were too tired to face the Valentine crowds at the restaurants, so I fixed clam linguini on the boat. We sat on the flybridge and enjoyed the last warmth of the day before dinner and called some of our favorite Valentines and even got to talk to our grand wonder. No roses or fancy dinner, but for us it was a wonderful day...we even had chocolate for dessert. A beautiful day, back on the boat, time together and chocolate...what more could we ask for?
