Day 146 - Cooler Weather
South Creek - Anchorage

We woke up to cooler weather this morning and it felt sooo good. I had my coffee on the flybridge and enjoyed the view. The Chesapeake was a little rough as we traveled to an anchorage near Galesville, but we've seen worse conditions and it began to settle down by lunch.

After anchoring we took the dinghy for a ride and explored the area. We could have anchored in a more rural area but chose one in South Creek surrounded by beautiful homes. We took the dinghy over to Thursday's for dinner...we had a light dinner, visited with a few people and had a view of the boat. This area is full of geese and they were fun to watch as the sun set. I think we should have a comfortable night, the temperature is supposed to drop into the 60s.

Cliffs close to Solomons Island - we wanted to stop and look for fossils, but the water too just too rough to dinghy ashore here.
Cove Point Lighthouse
Not everything is bigger in Texas...the seagulls on the Atlantic coast are huge!
Scenery around our anchorage
A swan we saw this evening
Geese were everywhere...fun to watch and nice to listen to
