Lewis Creek – Anchorage

“Just another day in Paradise where every hour is happy.” —Unknown

When it rains all day and is also cold, what do you do for entertainment...read, watch TV, sleep, cook, go to the mall? When you're on a boat, anchored in a little cove, your options are a little more limited. We seem to be stuck in what I'd call Texas March weather...damp, gray, drizzly, foggy and a little on the cold side. We do get the occasional day of sunshine thrown in just to keep our hopes up. It's kind of like the movie Groundhog Day where Bill Murray wakes up to the same day over and over. Every day seems to be the same this cruising season.

So what did we do yesterday? We decided not to travel, so Stan surfed the Internet, replaced the light fixture in the stateroom, read, played the guitar and napped. I watched movies and TV shows through our T-Mobile binge account, shopped online for Grandwonder's birthday presents, worked on a pine needle basket and baked bread. All in all it wasn't a bad day, kind of nice to have a down day. Although doing some of those things while relaxing in the warm sun could have been better. We take one day at a time and know it’ll be HOT soon.

I decided to bake the bread on our pizza stone so it would be crusty...it was very good.
Fresh baked bread makes the boat smell wonderful on a cool day

    1. I do love our binge plan...I was watching TV in the cabin all the way to Annapolis. Looks like the weather will start to improve by Tuesday.

  2. Dark and gray in Baltimore too. We got a little break from the rain today, but it's back at it again. You heading to Baltimore next? Or stopping a few times before you get here?

    1. We just arrived in Annapolis...the bay was pretty chopping. We are on a mooring for a week. We will move to Baltimore next Sunday. I guess you'll be moving north before we get there. This week is looking better.
