"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in
its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau

April 9 - St. Catherine's Island, GA

Wahoo River - Anchorage

“True luxury is being able to own your time – to be able to take a walk, sit on your porch, read the paper, not take the call, not be compelled by obligation.” – Ashton Kutcher

We woke to a beautiful but chilly morning. It warmed up some but the wind was intense all day...not really a problem when we travel in the protected waters of the ICW, but we do get tired of it after awhile.

We spent another day winding through the marshland of Georgia, which meant I didn't have anything new in particular to photograph. We anchored with our friends on Swede Dreams and enjoyed a nice evening together...celebrating the end of their cruising season and the beginning of ours.

These houses are on little islands with no local services...off the grid living.
Typical of the scenery we saw today.

We are miles away from any civilization, anchored near St. Catherine's Island...no lights from any town in any direction, but there's a street light located on this tiny island across from where Sweden Dreams anchored. Very strange!
