Day 74 - Back to Civilization
Hollywood Marina

We had a short trip today, it was just twenty miles from Miami to Hollywood. We went under eleven bridges today, by lowering our tower we were able to get under all but one. We just missed the scheduled opening, so we had to wait about twenty minutes for the next one. We've determined we can get down to twelve feet if we lower our bimini as well as the tower, but we probably won't try going under anything less than fourteen feet. This will save us a lot of time, because there are only a few lower than fifteen feet.

We went by some beautiful homes today. Both sides of the waterway were built up with homes and condos...very nice homes and condos, with very nice boats. Since it's the middle of the week we didn't have much boat traffic, we have heard it gets a little crazy here on the weekend. Our marina is in a lake off of the ICW in a residential area. It is very quiet and peaceful.

We spent the afternoon catching up on laundry and grocery shopping. It was well overdue. This evening we rode our bikes over the bridge to Hollywood, they have a large pedestrian only boardwalk along the beach. The beach is beautiful with pretty blue water. We stopped at Mamasita's and listened to music and then came back to the boat for dinner.
