April 18 - St. Petersburg, FL

Day 43 – New Day New City
St. Petersburg Municipal Marina

We left Caladesi Island and headed south to St. Petersburg this morning. It was another beautiful day on the water. This part of the Florida coast is town after town of boats, condos and homes on the water. It's hard to tell when you leave one town and enter another. Thousands of beautiful homes in every size imaginable.

We traveled about forty miles today and arrived at the marina around 2:30. This is the second largest marina in the state...with over six hundred slips. We're right in the middle of town. Close to all the museums, parks and tourist attractions. It looks like a beautiful city.

After securing things on the boat and doing laundry we went for a walk and had dinner at a little English place called The Moon Under Water. We sat at a little sidewalk table overlooking a park and part of the yacht basin. I think we'll enjoy exploring St. Pete a little more tomorrow.

This cute little island was just out in the middle of the bay.
